📄 3. Add Custom Meta Fields

Meta fields allow you to attach custom data to each item in your custom post type—like social links, job titles, skills, or images.

🧩 Steps to Add Meta Fields

  1. Go to the Meta section under your post type
  2. Click Add Meta
  3. Fill in the following:
    • Meta Name (e.g., Social Links)
    • Meta Slug (e.g., social_links)
    • Field Name (e.g., Facebook)
    • Field Type: Choose from Text, Text Editor, Textarea, Number, URL, Select, Checkbox, Image, Gallery
  4. To create repeater fields (e.g., multiple social icons):
    • Check the Repeater option
  5. Click Add Field to include more fields inside this meta group
  6. Once done, click Save Settings

📝 You can add multiple meta groups with unlimited fields per group.

🔗 Enable Social Links (Repeater Meta Group)

If you’re creating a Team, Speaker, or Author post type and want to display social media profiles (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn), you can enable the Social Links repeater under Meta Settings.


🧩 Steps to Enable Social Links:

  1. Go to Topper Pack → CPT Builder
  2. Create or edit your custom post type
  3. Scroll to the Meta section and click Add Meta
  4. Enter:
    • Meta Name: (e.g., Team Social)
    • Meta Slug: (e.g., team-social)
  5. Click Add Field and define the following fields:
    • Social Name → Field Type: Text
    • Social Icon → Field Type: Icon
    • Social URL → Field Type: URL
  6. At the bottom of the Meta group, select the “Social Links” repeater option
  7. Click Save Settings

✅ Now, each post will have a dynamic repeater to add multiple social profiles in the admin panel.
